Bianco Carrara C and CD

The world's best-known white marble: light white-grey ground with thin, soft grey veins. Selection C is lighter and more uniform, CD slightly greyer and more veined.

Geology and technical data

Fine-to-medium grained marble from the Fantiscritti and Torano basins, from metamorphosed Triassic limestones; calcite crystals 100-300 µm. Density 2,700 kg/m³, absorption 0.2%, compressive strength 100-130 MPa.

Uses

Interior floors and walls, bathrooms, honed kitchens, stairs, tiles in every format, cut-to-size work; exteriors only with non-polished finishes and mild climates.

Selections and formats

C (light) and CD (more veined), Extra and First; 2 and 3 cm slabs, 30×60, 60×60, 60×120 tiles, mosaics.
