Grigio Carnico is a grey Italian marble whose name recalls the Carnic Alps, the mountain area of northern Italy where it has been quarried for decades. It shows a medium-grey background crossed by lighter and darker grey veining, sometimes with soft cloudy movements, and a fine, compact grain. Elegant and versatile, it is chosen for flooring, wall cladding, bathrooms, staircases, kitchen countertops and design elements, both in residential and hospitality projects. Polished to enhance its depth of colour, or honed, brushed and leathered for a more contemporary, tactile surface, Grigio Carnico suits classic and modern settings alike. Marmi di Carrara supplies it as blocks, slabs 2/3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.
