Iridian is a grey granite quarried in the United States, also known on the market under the trade names Cold Spring Pearl White and Diamond Gray. It shows a fairly uniform grey background with a medium grain, where lighter and darker minerals give the surface a quiet, speckled depth rather than pronounced veining. This sober appearance makes it a versatile choice for flooring, wall cladding, kitchen countertops, stairs and exterior facades, in both residential and public projects. It works well polished, honed, flamed or brushed, depending on the desired effect and slip resistance. Marmi di Carrara supplies Iridian granite as blocks, slabs 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.
