Rosavel is a distinctive Spanish granite known for its warm pink and rose hues. This stone features a coarse, porphyritic texture with visible feldspar megacrystals that add depth and character to its surface. The natural variation in tone, ranging from soft pink to subtle yellow, makes Rosavel a versatile choice for both interior and exterior applications. It is ideal for flooring, countertops, and architectural cladding, where its robust nature and unique aesthetic are fully appreciated. Rosavel is available in polished, honed, or flamed finishes to suit different design requirements. Marmi di Carrara supplies Rosavel in blocks, standard slabs of 2 or 3 cm, and custom cut-to-size pieces. Rosavel Granite: complete guide
Overview
Rosavel is a pink granite from Galicia, with a delicate tone and a medium to coarse grain. It is a choice for anyone who wants a warm, bright stone that is as hard-wearing as granite.
History and origin
Galicia is also known for its pinkish granites, long used in architecture and street furniture. Rosavel belongs to this family and is widely available on the international market as slabs and flooring formats. It is used both indoors and outdoors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is light pink, from the feldspar crystals, with grey quartz and black mica specks. The grain is clearly visible and slabs may differ slightly in the intensity of the pink. Polishing brings the colour to life; flamed, it looks pale pink, almost beige.
Uses
Suitable for floors, stairs, façades, outdoor paving, kitchen worktops and bathrooms. Its warm tone fits well in Mediterranean and residential settings. For a cool, contemporary look, grey granites are more suitable.
Care and maintenance
Clean with a neutral detergent and water. A stain-proofing treatment protects worktops and light surfaces. Outdoors, wash periodically to prevent deposits that dull the colour.
