Sierra White is a classic white granite quarried in the United States, prized for its uniform fine grain and bright appearance. The stone displays a consistent white background with subtle speckles that add depth without overwhelming the clean look. Its fine-grained texture makes it ideal for polished finishes, while a honed surface can highlight its subtle pattern for a more subdued aesthetic. Sierra White is widely used in residential and commercial projects, including kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring, and exterior cladding. Marmi di Carrara supplies Sierra White in robust blocks and 2‑3 cm thick slabs, offering cut‑to‑size options and high‑resolution photos of actual slabs before purchase.

Sierra White Granite: complete guide
Overview
Sierra White is a Californian granite with a white-grey background speckled with dark minerals. It is chosen to create light, bright surfaces with the strength of a granite.
History and origin
Sierra White comes from California, where granite from the Sierra Nevada range has been quarried for public buildings and civil engineering works. It is a traditional stone of West Coast architecture in the United States, used for façades, bases and paving. Today it is also offered for light-coloured kitchens and bathrooms. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is white tending towards light grey, with small black biotite crystals evenly distributed. Differences between slabs mainly concern the density of the dark specks. Polishing makes the white more brilliant, while flaming lightens it further and makes it suitable for outdoor use.
Uses
Suitable for façades, outdoor floors, steps and street furniture, as well as kitchen worktops and bathroom vanity tops. It is a good alternative to white marbles where resistance to acids and frost is needed. On light-coloured kitchen surfaces a stain-proofing treatment is nonetheless recommended.
Care and maintenance
Being light-coloured, it is best protected with an impregnator that limits the absorption of oils, wine and coffee. Routine cleaning is done with neutral detergents, without concentrated bleach or coloured products.
