Black Slate is a natural slate quarried in India, renowned for its deep, uniform black colour and smooth, fine‑grained texture. The stone presents a sleek, matte surface with subtle linear veining that adds depth without compromising its solid appearance. It is widely used for interior flooring, wall cladding, bathroom vanity tops and outdoor paving where a sophisticated dark tone is desired. Suitable finishes include honed, polished or brushed, depending on the design intent. Marmi di Carrara supplies Black Slate in blocks and slabs of 2–3 cm thickness, offers cut‑to‑size services and provides photos of actual slabs before purchase.
