Maracana is a granite from Brazil prized for its warm beige and cream palette, enriched by rosy feldspar bands and dark zones rich in biotite that lend the surface a lively, speckled movement. The medium grain and magmatic structure make it a durable natural stone, well suited to kitchen countertops, flooring, wall cladding, stairs and outdoor paving. Polished, honed or flamed finishes enhance its chromatic depth, making Maracana suitable for both classic and contemporary projects. Marmi di Carrara supplies this Brazilian granite as blocks, slabs 2 and 3 cm thick and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs provided before purchase so buyers can select the exact material.

Maracanã Granite: the complete guide
Overview
Maracanã Granite is a Brazilian granite in golden yellow tones, crossed by veins and undulations. It is chosen to bring warmth and movement to worktops and cladding, with the durability of granite.
History and origin
Brazil is among the world's largest producers of coloured granites, particularly yellow and golden varieties with lively patterns. The name Maracanã comes from the Tupi language and is typically Brazilian. The material is offered on the international market mainly in slabs for kitchens and bathrooms. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is golden yellow or gold, with veins and darker areas that create a flowing pattern. Variation between slabs is considerable, both in the tone of the yellow and in the amount of veining. Polishing enhances the warm colour; brushed and honed finishes make it softer and more natural.
Uses
Recommended for kitchen worktops, islands, bathroom vanity tops and wall cladding. It is also used for indoor floors and stairs; for exteriors the lot and exposure should be assessed.
Care and maintenance
Clean with neutral detergents; a stain-proofing impregnating sealer is useful because coarse-grained golden varieties can absorb slightly more than compact granites. Avoid bleach and strong acids, which can alter the colour.
