Negro Marquina is a natural limestone quarried in Spain, renowned for its striking white background interlaced with subtle dark veining that gives the material a sophisticated contrast. The stone displays a fine to medium grain and a uniform texture, making it suitable for both polished and honed finishes, as well as brushed treatments for a more tactile surface. Architects and designers use Negro Marquina for flooring, wall cladding, countertops, and outdoor applications where durability and elegance are required. Marmi di Carrara supplies Negro Marquina in blocks and 2‑3 cm thick slabs, cut‑to‑size, with high‑resolution photos of actual slabs available before purchase.

Petrographic description

The stone consists of carbonate material with white calcite spar veins and fossil remnants, representing a recrystallized limestone reef.
